Will potato chips, cheez-its, processed cereals and mayonaise have GMO labels on them if this movement succeeds? Who wrote this referendum, and can anyone help me get in contact with someone who can answer these questions? I would like to continue helping this movement as a circulator however I need these questions answered first.

Nicka Moo commented on Volunteer 2014-05-21 10:00:18 -0600I have a motivated group of 10-15 people trying to gain momentum working together for the good of the community. I think that collecting signatures for this cause would be good practice for our group. I am concerned because I don't have time to travel to other parts of the state to train, and there don't seem to be any more online webinars. I live in Fort Collins
Become a volunteer
There are many ways you can get involved. The initiative has just begun in earnest and it will be a long road ahead of us. We need passionate people who are committed to the cause of knowing what is in our food.
Here are some of the areas where we will need volunteers:
- Regional Leaders - Recruit other petition circulators and be a source for providing new petition sections to other circulators
- Trainers - Organize and lead Petition Trainings
- Collect petition signatures to get the initiative on the ballot (you must attend a brief training) Sign up to attend here.
- Fundraising - through events and soliciting corporate sponsorships
- Events - Attending events as a representative of the group, educating others about the efforts, and eventually gathering petition signatures if that is a requirement for a ballot initiative.
