I would like to collect signatures to get the labeling ballot issue on the ballot. I attend several large blue grass festivals here in Colorado and usually stay the weekend. I was thinking if I had a sign or banner people could stop by our RV and ask questions and sign the petition. The first big one we will be attending is at the state fair grounds in Pueblo May 30th thru June 1st.
Become a volunteer
There are many ways you can get involved. The initiative has just begun in earnest and it will be a long road ahead of us. We need passionate people who are committed to the cause of knowing what is in our food.
Here are some of the areas where we will need volunteers:
- Research and checking sources of information
- Graphic Design - for website and marketing materials
- Fundraising - through events and soliciting corporate sponsorships
- Events - Attending events as a representative of the group, educating others about the efforts, and eventually gathering petition signatures if that is a requirement for a ballot initiative.
